Songwriting workshops
Echo is a creative songwriting workshop project designed for youth and adults. Through music, rhythm, lyric writing and participation, I create spaces for self-expression, creativity and connection.

Creative approach
Photo by Daniel J DixonMy workshops are playful, collaborative and designed for people of all musical backgrounds — no previous experience is needed.
Sessions often begin with introductions, breathing exercises, gentle movement and vocal warm-ups to help participants feel relaxed and connected. Using guitar, keyboard and group participation, we explore rhythm, singing, songwriting and simple music structures together.
Depending on the group size, participants may work individually, in smaller groups or collaboratively as a whole group to develop themes and write lyrics. We then bring ideas together to create and perform an original song, sometimes incorporating harmonies, vocal layering or body percussion.
Each workshop is shaped by curiosity, creativity and connection, creating a supportive environment where everyone is invited to contribute and explore their voice through music.
“ Ximena delivered an inspiring songwriting workshop for our students during our annual Music Intensive Day. The students were captivated by her beautiful singing and songwriting skills, which motivated them to step outside their comfort zones and try writing their own songs using the tools and techniques she shared throughout the session. Students left the workshop smiling, inspired, and excited to continue exploring their creativity.”
